My Queer Bookshelf
I've got a part of my shelf where I keep my queer books. It's my Queer Bookshelf. It surely doesn't hold ALL my books that feature queer characters, are by queer authors or are about queerness. Many books on there are in some way kind of ... fundamentals? But not all. It's mostly vibes based.
Basics
Broad Strokes, deep dives, exhaustive looks at certain aspects of queer identity!
- Meg-John Baker & Julia Scheele
- Meg-John Baker & Julia Scheele
Memoirs
I like hearing about other queer people's experiences. Finding out what resonates and what doesn't at all, looking into someone else's head, feeling a bit less alone.
- Cyrus Dunham
- Linus Giese
Moments of Gender Euphoria
Quindrie Press
Fiction
I read a lot of queer fiction or fiction with queer characters. Most of them, I borrow from the library. The ones I own are mostly not on my queer shelf but on my SciFi shelf for example. So these are the rare gems that for one reason or another are so central to me that they just *belong* here!
- Mason Deaver
Comics & Grapic Novels
Colorful images good. Colorful images portraying queer stories, even better.
- Molly Ostertag
- Grace Ellis, Shae Beagle
Misc.
- published by Stef and Sven Hensel
To Be Read
I've still got a few books that'll one day be part of the Queer Bookshelf, but that are stuck on my TBR pile for now:
- Rae Spoon & Ivan Coyote
